According to sources, the relief package has been presented in the ongoing meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee, which recommends delaying payment of electricity bills of up to 300 units for three months.

Lockdown, reduction in electricity demand in the country

According to sources, it has been suggested to provide relief of up to Rs. 22 billion to 300 units of consumers, it is recommended to postpone the fuel adjustment for 3 months under Corona Relief Package.

Sources said that in the wake of the fuel adjustment, it has been suggested to provide relief of Rs.75 billion to the K-Electric consumers while the delay of electricity bills for three months has also been recommended.

Sources further said that it has been proposed to provide a relief of Rs 60 billion to consumers in case of dues.

Sources also said that a reduction of Rs 2 per unit has been recommended in the tariff of industrial consumers, while it is being considered to provide relief of Rs 13 billion in the case of tariff reduction for industrial consumers.
