The Sindh High Court upheld the appeal against the conviction of Aamir Khan and accused Tariq alias Bata, and honored the two accused and dismissed the government's request to extend the sentence.
During the hearing of the case, the prosecutor told the court that the suspects opened fire on the occasion of a by-election in NA-254 in 2003 that killed United workers Anam Aziz and Mohammad Naeem.
It is pertinent to mention that Tariq, the nominee in the case, has been in jail for 17 years and Aamir Khan has been out on bail while two unidentified accused, including co-accused Rice alias hat, were absconding.current world news
