According to the Federal Tax Ombudsman, FBR staff members were included in the list of taxpayers due to a combination of FBR staff, but there was no serious attempt by the FBR of the black listing against the fraudsters.
The FTO says that in most cases, blacklisting and suspension were issued after 5-6 months despite the issuance of rcurrent world newsed alert, while the FBR did not suggest any action against the fraudsters and facilitators.
According to the Federal Tax Ombudsman, the order for recovery of Rs 41 crore and action against fake registered persons was issued 4 years ago but the FBR is reluctant to take action despite the FTO's own notice.current world news
According to company officials, the Directorate General I&I has not opened a case against the staff involved in the fake registration nor is the FBR taking the nature of the matter seriously.
