Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Woda has said that it is the government's priority to resolve the issue of extension of Army Chief's term through the Act of Parliament, and the opposition will support it in any case.current world news

Responding to the question of senior journalist Hamid Mir, he said that the government did not take any decision on going into the revision petition.

Khurram Dastagir, leader of the PML-N, said that his party did not want to end the case with the government nor seek any benefit from the army chief for extension of his term.

On the other hand, PML-N leader and former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that opposition parties will be consulted after briefing the legal team on detailed Supreme Court decision.

He said that there should be consensus on the issue, it is hoped that the government will show seriousness. The issue can be resolved within 24 hours if the government does not take a stand on the issue of the Election Commission.
